Andean Music Workshop
Hosted by: Dept. of Culture
Status: Concluded
Music workshop for kids ages 12 and up. Kids will be introduced to and practice traditional Andean wind and string instruments. Kids will get to play
Youth Soccer Practice
Hosted by: Dept. of Sports
Status: Concluded
Weekly 2 hour soccer practice sessions for youth to develop technical and team building skills. Trainees may have the opportunity to play in tournaments with other members and teams externally.
Basketball Morning Games
Hosted by: Dept. of Sports

Friendly basketball games open to all community members! Players will form teams on the spot and compete against other teams.
Upcoming: Magazine & Website Launch
Join us for our next event, KCC’s Digital Magazine and Website Launch!
Kichwa Community of Chicago will officially present two major projects. The first being the print and digital magazine built in collaboration with the Chicago History Museum’s Aquí en Chicago project. This magazine focuses on Kichwa traditional clothing, spiritual beliefs, and our native tongue.
Additionally, KCC will launch the official website in order to further advance the community’s visibility for our external partners and reach broader audiences. This website will also serve as a step in archiving and preserving the history of Kichwas in Chicago.
