Department of Communication

The department of communication, led by William Pineda, is composed of 2 total team members. Together they collaborate to ensure all programs and events are covered, recorded, and/or broadcast for the 2024-2026 cycle. Each department is also heavily involved in the development and execution of major KCC events to ensure programming is beneficial to our members and objective of maintaining Kichwa culture alive in younger generations.

    Me identifico con temas directos en comunicación, fotografía y labor social conjuntamente con mi Comunidad y mi Organización.

  • Mi nombre es Anita Picuasi y soy parte de departamento de comunicación para el ciclo 2024-2026. Soy Kichwa Otavalo nacida en Chicago y parte de la primera generación de jóvenes de la comunidad. He participado dentro de la comunidad Kichwa en Chicago por amor a mi identidad Kichwa. Me gusta la danza tradicional, he creado un grupo de danza tradicional, Sisarina. Me encanta ser parte de la organización, aportando ideas para el crecimiento y haciendo un camino para incorporar nuevos jóvenes al trabajo de la organización.

Photography

The Department of Communication is responsible for ensuring events and programs are captured in photographs that are later used for communication and even planning of future events. They are also responsible for cataloging and organizing all images taken.

Video and Live Streams

Videos and live streams are essential to capturing real action of events for viewers who are unable to attend our events. The Department of Communication ensures that members and supporters have the opportunity to virtually experience events.

Flyers and Communication

In order to communicate our events and the relevant details, our Department of Communication works closely with all other departments to ensure accurate details are recorded before developing and distributing the flyers announcing each event.
